dlinsta.app is an independent web tool that lets you download public Instagram videos, audio, and photo slides without creating an account. It was built in 2026 to offer a fast, transparent alternative to existing downloaders.

Why dlinsta.app exists
Most Instagram downloaders are filled with aggressive ads, fake review counts, and misleading claims about unlimited downloads. We built dlinsta.app to be different: honest about what works and what doesn't, transparent about limitations, and respectful of your privacy. When a public Instagram video is available without a watermark overlay, we deliver that version. When it isn't, we tell you. We never promise features we can't deliver.
How it works
dlinsta.app uses yt-dlp, an open-source media extraction tool, to access the publicly available stream from Instagram's servers. When you paste a link, we fetch the video metadata, show you a preview, and then prepare a temporary download link. Files are stored temporarily on Cloudflare R2 and automatically deleted after the retention window. We do not build a library of downloaded content. Each request generates a fresh, time-limited link.
Privacy by design
We hash IP addresses for rate limiting — we never store your real IP. We do not use analytics trackers, fingerprinting, or third-party advertising scripts. The only cookies are strictly functional (language preference). See our Privacy Policy for full details.

dlinsta.app offers a documented REST API for Pro and Business users, an MCP server for AI agent integration (@dlinsta/mcp-server on npm), and an Apify actor for automated workflows. Our tools are built to be composable and developer-friendly.
